Brief Description
Between Avoca and Arklow at the junction of three valleys. Once the mineral source for the goldsmith of ancient Ireland. There was a minor “Gold rush” in 1796. Since then small quantities have been found.

Brief Description
Founded by the Vikings today it is a seaside resort town. Shingle and sand beach and promenade. A few remains of a Franciscan friary. An Obelisk commemorates Captain Robert Halpin commander of the cable-laying ship “ Great Eastern” who was born here.

Golf plus sea and trout fishing.

Brief Description
Surrounded by hills and forests it is famous for the Irish Blackthorn stick. Oak from the forest was used in the roofing of St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin.
