Brief Description
Reached by bridge from a side road off N70. Island is popular as a resort. The first successful Atlantic telegraph cable was laid from here in 1866
Local Area attractions
Boats available for hire for deep sea fishing also excursions to Church Island which has an ancient oratory and beehive huts.
Nearby are the gardens and fuchsia glade of Glanleam.
