County Town and ideal centre for visiting the Sperrins. Forest walks and drives. Splendid views of Donegal through to Lough Erne. Nearby at Camphill visit the ancestral home of the Mellon Family who founded the Mellon Bank of Pittsburgh. The Ulster American Folk Park is beside the Mellon Home.

A must is a visit to the Ulster American Folk Park. See the conditions the emigrants left behind, suffered on the wooden sailing ships and the kind of life the pioneers found in the New World. Blue Grass Music Festival is held here in September.

Brief Description

Augher, Clogher and Fivemiletown all stand in this quiet green valley. Clogher has a Cathedral built in the 18th century classical style. It is said the St Patrick himself consecrated St MacCairthin as the first bishop of Clogher.


Local Area attractions

Nearby are forests at Fardross, Knockmany and Favour all rich in wild life.

Also nearby at Dergina you can visit the ancestral home of American President Ulysses Simpson Grant.
