Centre of Horse-breeding territory beside the Curragh open plain and on the main N7 road to Cork & Limerick. Nearby is the National Stud and Japanese Garden at Tully. Military Barracks.
At Eastern end of Curragh is Donnelly’s Hollow. Here in 1815 Dan Donnelly defeated English boxing champion George Cooper .
