Brief Description
Standing on Clew Bay reached by the N59 or N60. Thackery declared the view of Clew Bay to be the most exquisite in the world. Westport House was built in 1731 for John Browne MP, ancestor of Lord Sligo and decendant of Grace O’Malley, Queen of Connaught.
